The lotus flower is one of the most recognizable symbols in society but as a result of its long history, it carries a variety of meanings depending on culture or religion. Representing new beginnings and rebirth which is a true symbol of the point in life where many of our youth artisans find themselves. Since the lotus flower has roots deep in the mud and rises up out of murky river waters, it is also seen as a symbol of rising out of suffering and overcoming obstacles which are accomplishments we always wish to celebrate.
